Risk Calculator Panel MT5 is a free panel for MetaTrader 5 designed for risk calculation, position size calculation and visual trade planning directly on the chart.
The panel helps the trader calculate lot size in advance based on the selected risk, build Entry / Stop Loss / Take Profit levels, check the risk/reward ratio and see the trade structure before entering the market.
This tool does not open trades, close positions or send orders. It is designed only for calculation, visualization and preparation of a trading scenario.
Main Features
Risk Calculation
Risk Calculator Panel MT5 allows you to calculate the potential risk of a trade before entering the market.
Several risk calculation modes are available:
fixed amount in the deposit currency;
percentage of Balance;
percentage of Equity;
percentage of Free Margin;
percentage of Custom base amount.
This helps follow risk management rules and avoid opening trades with a random position size.
Lot Size Calculation
The panel calculates the recommended position volume based on:
selected risk value;
entry price;
Stop Loss level;
trading instrument specification;
tick size;
tick value;
minimum and maximum volume;
volume step;
commission per lot, if specified in the settings.
The calculated lot is displayed in the panel together with the estimated risk, potential profit and risk/reward ratio.
Entry / Stop Loss / Take Profit Lines
The tool displays the key trade levels on the chart:

Stop Loss;
Take Profit.
These lines help visually prepare the trade before it is opened.
You can change the scenario using values in the panel or move the lines directly on the chart.
Risk / Reward Mode
RR mode allows Take Profit to be calculated automatically relative to Stop Loss.
Example:
R/TP = 3;
R/SL = 1.
This means that the distance to Take Profit will be three times greater than the distance to Stop Loss.
This feature is useful for traders who use a fixed risk/reward ratio in their trading system.
Visual Trade Map

Update 24.05.2026
1. Added Lot Value Calculation in Money
The panel now shows not only the calculated position volume, risk, profit and RR, but also the monetary value of the selected lot volume. This helps the trader better understand the actual position size in the market.
2. Added Estimated Margin Calculation
The new version displays the approximate margin required to open the calculated position. If the broker provides the required instrument data, the panel shows this value directly in the result block.
3. Improved Trade Visualization on the Chart
The display of colored Stop Loss and Take Profit zones has been fixed. The risk zone and potential profit zone are now visually highlighted on the chart with colored fill.
4. Improved Chart Labels
The label near the entry line now shows not only the trade direction and lot volume, but also the position value in money.
5. Improved Object Cleanup After Removing the Expert Advisor
When the Expert Advisor is removed from the chart, all objects created by it are now automatically deleted: panel, Entry line, Stop Loss line, Take Profit line, labels and colored zones.
6. Improved Bid/Ask Price Handling
Current price retrieval has become more reliable through the use of actual ticks. This improves calculation accuracy across different instruments and brokers.
7. Improved Calculation Stability
Additional handling of tick size, tick value and other symbol parameters has been added. This reduces the risk of incorrect calculations on non-standard instruments, such as gold, indices or CFDs.
8. Expanded Result Block
The panel has become more informative. The calculation result is now divided into several lines, separately showing lot, position value, margin, risk, profit, RR, Entry/SL/TP levels and the selected risk mode.
